FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER 2023 SPIRIT TEACHINGS & DIVINE PLAN Inspirationally received by Yvonne Crespo Limoges Down through the ages, humanity has received many spirit messages by superior spirits, and superior messengers have incarnated, to teach about the true purpose of material life and how to live a good one. However, we are still doing wrong to each other. That is why the spirits continue to relay the same messages of being good (for some this is so monotonous) in as many different ways as they can. My dears, because we still need to hear it! Humans view time from a limited perspective, as relatively ignorant and continuing to evolve spirits-in- development. We listen, try to comprehend, and we may even believe the teachings. Yet, it is very difficult to put moral teachings of charity and love for all into practice. Spiritual and moral evolution takes an extremely long time. Earth is a school for spirits to have different experiences for their development and if we look backward in human history, there have been various missionary spirits and religious/spiritual movements (new ideas brought forth) that seemed to appear when humanity needed a push in certain spiritual and moral directions for its own good. These are NOT coincidences. There is a Divine Plan. Humanity has very slowly modified their laws based on changing views of morality, slowly in accordance with Divine laws, due to spiritual intervention and inspiration. Sometimes we move forward, sometimes backward, but the Divine law of progress cannot be fully stopped. We are ONLY at the level of an AWARENESS of Divine spiritual realities. Various spiritual truths are introduced collectively en masse to humanity by the Creator and the superior spirits when we are more readily able to comprehend them and are more receptive. Yet, spirit teachings never stop. Nowadays, many people are moving away from traditional religions and religious dogma (mostly manmade rules) that do not seem to make sense, may seem unfair or exclude other people. This is a first step in a soul’s development and growth; it is thinking for itself about what makes sense regarding morality and spirituality. There are now more individuals on a spiritual search. At a different level of comprehension, these incarnated spirits intuitively know there is something more to life than just the material world, and want personal proofs. And, each will receive what they deserve and need in their lifetime, based on their level of intellectual/moral development in this existence. Spirits can only evolve in morality, knowledge and truth, individually and collectively, based on their own MERIT and EFFORT (mostly through trial and error). Each soul evolves at its own pace. As we evolve, no matter how dark things around us appear in the world, we are all evolving souls on a spiritual journey, heading always towards love, spiritual light and the Divine. 2 Spiritist Society of Florida, February Newsletter 2023 A BETTER YOU, A BETTER WORLD Spirit Communication by Julie L. Harper Choose your actions wisely for there is always a corresponding consequence in the physical world through every thought, word, and action. You are a human creator as your every act causes a subsequent effect in the tangible physical world and an effect in the immaterial spiritual world. Our Supreme Creator's immutable spiritual laws allow for every resultant consequence as a teaching experience to encourage a lesson learned to influence better decision making to enable spiritual growth. Reflection and choice are important toward decision making. Do not worry about what has happened or what is to come because everything is God allowed in perfect timing and according to your particular spiritual growth needs at every given point in time. [the Creator’s Divine Laws in action] Though, without reflection of past error, the lesson presented, and a wiser choice, you may find yourself experiencing navigation of a repeated undesirable cause and effect circumstance. A difficult path is traveled until taking a better way. Resolve to take loving actions, and your consequences will hold spiritual goodness that energetically promote influence of betterment. Know that your good acts are seconded by good helping spirits. And know that your good intentions and acts energetically move out into the world to affect others. You as a human creator can be instrumental in shaping a better self and a better world by your good acts. (We all determine our own destiny! - Y.L.) OUR LOVED ONES HELP US Written by Yvonne Crespo Limoges My 91-year-old mother has undergone three very invasive medical procedures, and was in the hospital for approximately one and half months. It has been a difficult time for her, especially since she had never been sick until now. One of the benefits of my being a medium is the ability to feel (their energies) and see the wonderful interaction of the inhabitants between the two worlds (spiritual and material). So, it was marvelous to see that my mother, during this difficult time, had so many spiritual visitors by her side, in the hospital and in the rehab facility. Some were providing inspiration to uplift her, while others were involved in healings and others were about her sending their loving vibrations. As a medium I transmitted to my mother their words of consolation and wisdom, which helped animate her. Of course, my father was there. He adored my mother, and he always told me when he was in the material world, “she is who I love most in this world.” From the spirit world, he said it saddened him to see her go through what she is going through, but he also said, he knew it is a natural part of life in this world and serves a Divine purpose. ***** For all those in suffering, seemingly alone, please know that no matter what sorrow we may be going through, our loved ones in the spirit world care about us greatly, and come to our aid as much as they can. We never suffer alone. The Creator abandons no one! 3 Spiritist Society of Florida, February Newsletter 2023 A CHANGE OF RESIDENCE Written by Angelica Crespo Masiar Death is merely a change in residence, nothing actually dies, everything transforms itself. Material death can be a sweet awakening according to the way that we have behaved ourselves in our last incarnation. We should have tried to behave ourselves well at all times, acting without rancor towards others, overlooking their acts towards us, being honest in our dealings with others at all times, etc. …. Because as we carry on our daily lives during our brief moments here on this planet earth, everything we say and do is recorded in the book of eternal justice. Being Spiritists especially, places on us an additional burden because others look to us to set an example. Also, our spirit guides prompt us from time to time, to keep on the straight and narrow path that leads towards spiritual salvation. Therefore, we have no excuse whatsoever when we return to the spirit world and that book is opened before us. We should have acted correctly and properly on all occasions, during our pilgrimage on this planet of ours. Spiritism [the superior spirits tell us] that there is no hell, but that sooner or later we will pay for all our transgressions. This is where the law of reincarnation comes into play. Nothing ever happens by chance… We come back in family groups to progress together, some helping others who are less spiritually and morally advanced… We should also never talk wrongfully about others, or about people’s race, color or creed, etc. for we are all God’s children. Spirits are sexless also, and can come back as man, woman, white, black, etc., etc. … What is expected is not miracles, God knows better than us our limitations, but it is for us to do our utmost to do good with sincerity, and then place ourselves in the very able hands of God, our Father, for everything else that we cannot control. A PRAYER TO THOSE WE LOVE You who were so dear to us in this world, please listen to our voice who calls to offer anew our pledge of affection. God allowed you to be liberated before us (you are now in the spiritual world), and we cannot complain about this without being selfish, because this would be equal to wishing that you be still subject to the sufferings of material life. So, wait with resignation for the moment of our reunion in that happier world, where you have arrived before us. We know that this separation is only temporary, and that however long it may appear to be, its duration is nothing compared to the blessed spiritual eternity which God has promised to us. How sweet and consoling is the certainty that there is nothing between us but a material veil which hides you from our sight! You can even be at our side, and hear us speak as previously. Perhaps even better, to know that you do not forget us, as we do not forget you; and that our thoughts are constantly intermingling, and that your thoughts accompany us and uphold us. We love you, our prayers are with you, and may the peace of the Lord be with you always. Why do I have to live through this ordeal? What have I done to deserve this? Why this punishment…?!... It is true that in this existence we carry many debts from previous lives, and those debts we undoubtedly have to settle. Yet, it does not have to be all through suffering. We can modify all that negative baggage. (italics & bold mine, see my note) When we reincarnate, God gives us multiple tools to combat our flaws and weaknesses. How? It is well known that thought is everything. Thought is the language by which spirits communicate with each other in space. Through thought, all of us, incarnated and disincarnated, put ourselves in communication with the Creator... But thought is not only a means of spiritual communication, it can be a very powerful tool; it can be beneficent or terribly lethal. Our thoughts can send signals that bring ourselves peace and well-being, or cause us distress and restlessness. Thoughts can be modified, and that truth can change our pathway through our earthly existence, making it easier. To each negative thought, let’s oppose it with a positive one. Let us attract to our mind, through our thoughts, the reality of what we are and how we are; studying our character, our tendencies, and reflecting on our defects. Let us send thoughts of order, understanding and love to ourselves, and above all, self-forgiveness. Our thoughts can make us understand our past mistakes and lead us to redemption, while avoiding inevitable feelings of [self-imposed] suffering… The Creator is infinitely merciful, and during our physical life provides us great opportunities for redemption. Changing our way of thinking will change our emotions and feelings, and above all, our actions. We will be able to lighten the weight of the load that we brought from our previous lives… Let us propose to clean our soul as much as we can; thoughts are powerful, and more so when they are clean. I suffer because I am a debtor, but I can pay. I made big mistakes, but I can rectify. God does not want me to suffer, but wants me to avoid my own suffering.
