NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER 2024 WHEN WE FEEL HELPLESS Inspirationally received by Yvonne C. Limoges Life can be very overwhelming and we may feel helpless when issues, situations or people we care about make us feel angry, betrayed, frustrated, depressed, sad, grief-stricken, disappointed, etc. However, the spirit world has provided us knowledge of moral teachings and Divine laws that have consistently provided answers on how to handle and cope with struggles and distressing situations and the sufferings which affect us. They tell us we must first ask ourselves if we have done all we could have done to alleviate our own situations or with any persons involved. Were we proactive in doing all we could, to help ourselves to address any issues or problems? This includes asking for help we may have needed. If we acted wrongfully and/or did not help ourselves the best we were able, we have no one to blame but ourselves for any suffering incurred. Most of the time we learn through trial and error, so hopefully we learned lessons to help us in future situations. If we did what we could and things remain unresolved with people we care about or events unfolded that we are upset about which causes suffering, this is when knowledge of the laws of cause and effect, of attraction and affinity, of reincarnation, etc. are very valuable to know. For if fully understood and held within us with strong conviction, these can provide hope in life. For then we view life’s situations as temporary in the grand scheme of things, from a higher spiritual awareness and perspective that includes knowledge of a connecting chain of past, present and future lifetimes that continually heads towards progress, further knowledge, goodness and love. If we are able to do this, it helps us to more easily sustain our material lives and also to be more resigned, providing us reassurance, consolation and a certain heartfelt inner peace. The superior spirits tell us we have debts to pay and missions we accepted to fulfill; that there is no death, for our loved ones’ spirits are freed and enter the spirit world and we should be content they no longer suffer illness, the vagaries of old age or the trials of material life; that a sincere love never dies; that the material and spiritual worlds communicate and influence each other; and, the Creator does NOT punish us, our sufferings are the consequence of our own choices, both individually and collectively. The spirits tell us there are worlds with no hate, violence, murder, or wars, but we have to morally evolve and merit living upon those worlds. And, it is only through love (caring for one another in spite of any animosities) is how we can make our own world a better place. Goodness exists on Earth and its influence works steadily. Although progress is uneven and slow, it will always lead towards solidarity, peace and love. This is because your spirit, aspiring to happiness and liberty, on finding itself tied to the physical body which acts like a prison, becomes exhausted through vain efforts to seek release. “On recognizing that these attempts are useless, the soul becomes discouraged, and as the body suffers the influence of the spirit, it feels itself weary, apathetic, full of despondency and it is then that you judge yourself to be unhappy. “Believe me when I tell you to resist these tendencies with all your strength, as they only weaken your will-power. Aspirations for a better life are inborn in all mankind, but do not seek them in this world. “… so, await with patience for the time when the liberating angel will come to help you break away from the ties which hold your spirit captive. “Remember, during your exile here on Earth, you have a mission to fulfill that you do not even suspect; be it dedicating yourself to your family or fulfilling various obligations… “If within the course of this exiled probation, while seeking pardon, you feel about to collapse through anxiety, uneasiness, or tribulations, be strong and courageous enough to support these pressures. “Stand up to them with resolution for they will soon pass. These are the only means by which you may reach those whom you pine and who, jubilant at seeing you once again amongst them, will hold out their hands towards you so as to guide you to regions inaccessible to earthly afflictions.” (From Kardec’s The Gospel according to Spiritism, Ch. 5, item 25) PRAYER FOR MORAL COURAGE May the Divine Light of the infinite Love and Goodness of the Creator shine upon us to support our distress, pain and suffering. May we have confidence in the Divine laws and the future, which we know extends beyond this earthly life. Give us the strength so as to not become bitter, angry or despair. May our spirit protectors provide us moral courage during our times of need. May their serene spiritual vibrations of love help support us, so we may undergo the trials and tests we chose for this lifetime with strong faith knowing they help in our soul’s progression. Yet, in the midst of all your heartbreak, sorrow, fear, pain and anguish – you are never alone. Your spirit protector is ever by your side instilling, within you and about you, their beneficial spiritual vibrations of calmness, goodness, inspiration and courage; and, emitting the special Love that comes from the Divine Source to help uphold you through all of your many struggles, pains, tribulations, traumas and the daily drudgery widespread on your material world. Also, from the spirit world are the spirits of your families and dear friends, from present and past lives, doing their part to help ease your distress, anxieties, doubts and loneliness; trying hard to comfort and console you; their empathy allows them to know your pain, and they see your tears! In addition, when your physical body sleeps, these spirits directly interact with yours, when it returns to the spirit world each night. They reach out to provide guidance, counseling and healing, as well as to remind you of the just cause (the why) of what you are going through, the kind of life you chose; the one you pledged to undergo with strong determination in your present existence. Knowing all this, please try to open up your hearts to all these loving spirits who care so very much for you personally and for your spiritual progress! They reach out to help you, although you may not see them – they are there! At moments of pure desperation – you may feel their loving sweet impressions! So, try your best to be emotionally and mentally receptive to their loving, valuable and productive influences. Be reminded that pain in all its forms suffered upon the earth washes away the impurities of your soul; all trials, tests and atonements elevate your spirit. In this way, sentiments can be awakened in order foster your moral courage and to have more of an inner appreciation and further comprehension of living an honest life with compassion, forgiveness, sympathy, empathy, benevolence, charity and fraternal love. Dear ones, as you advance, your suffering will be less and you will eventually reach true happiness. The Divine evolutionary process provides for your spirit’s enlightenment, enhancing your intellectual and moral elevation. Be strong! The Creator is All Love and you are always provided with spiritual assistance to fulfill your soul’s journey! 4 Spiritist Society of Florida, November Newsletter 2024 GRATITUDE Inspirationally received by Yvonne Limoges During turbulent and unsettling times, it seems so much around us can bring us down that we forget that there is always something that we can be grateful for. We can be grateful for the tangible things we may have, like a roof over our heads, enough food to eat, and a job. Plus, there are other things we should feel gratitude for that are not so tangible but no less important. For the many people that have crossed our path and the events that have occurred in our lives, to a lesser or greater degree, and have shaped who we are, especially if we learned from them. Especially, as Spiritists, we know especially for important things there are no coincidences. There were/are relatives who have raised us and helped us along the way. For those who did not get nurturing from family, then friends may have given us the support and assistance we needed. At work, there have been or are fellow co- workers who have helped us out and been supportive during life’s ups and downs. And, even total strangers, with their random acts of kindness, have been there for us when we have least expected it. If we look throughout our life there has been persons around at specific times in our lives who was there to help us when we were most in some kind of need. Also, let us not forget to be grateful to those in the invisible world, who never tire of being by our side through thick or thin. They provide advice through that inner voice of our conscience, and if we have listened to them, we have avoided making poor choices and/or made some good ones. They comfort and heal us with their beneficial energies; as when we feel good and cannot explain why. And, most importantly what gratitude we should have for the opportunity to learn, progress, and evolve… for the Supreme Love of the Creator always surrounds us! Many may not be able to feel, touch or see spiritual help, but it is there and has always been there, and is constantly being given to us nonetheless. Compassion for one and another is not just an earthly platitude of graciousness. It is an act that upholds faith and respect for the Creator's design of evolutionary progression. People do eventually learn and will evolve according to the order of divine laws. Earth is a place that enables circumstances for needed personal and spiritual growth. No human is without their own faults. But all people are responsible to uphold the spiritual mandate to love one another...period; regardless of personal perception of another. Every person holds the Creator's seed of love, making for the perfect gateway to get along for unity and peace on Earth. Limoges) LAW OF VIBRATION and AFFINITY 2 Spiritist Society of Florida, October Newsletter 2024 Written by Fermín Hernández Hernández In the set of universal laws that govern the principles of physical and spiritual life, there are two of them that are in the background, that is, they do not receive the attention they deserve. There are others that receive more attention. I will cite, for example, the Law of Reincarnation and the Law of Cause and Effect. However, there is another Law whose knowledge can help all people in their daily life, since it manifests itself at all times and affects the human being in a significant way. I am referring to the Law of Vibration and Attraction. The principle of this law is frankly simple: everything that occupies a place in the universe has a vibration of its own. There is no inertia, there is no rest, everything is constantly vibrating, from the infinitesimal atoms to the particles, the molecules, the cells; planets and stars also vibrate. The human species, the most evolved on this planet, also has its vibration, although higher, more intense, since each person, according to their evolutionary degree, vibrates more or less positively, with their particular vibratory level. Minerals vibrate, plants and animals vibrate, the entire universe vibrates. Everything is energy, and matter, or what we know as such, is condensed energy, pure energy. Each form of nature vibrates according to its evolutionary state. This thesis has already been confirmed by mathematics and physical laws. These ratify that the human being is a transmitter-receiver of energies, although limited to those that he is capable of perceiving, those that are related to him, that are in tune with him. In equal measure, everything that is born from the human mind: thoughts, ideas, feelings, emotions, words, everything that springs from within has its own vibration. Although unable to perceive it, the human being lives immersed in an ocean of vibrations. In the same way that fish live surrounded by water without being aware of it, human beings also live surrounded by vibrations of all kinds. However, limited by its short evolution, the human being hardly perceives those vibrations that acts on its organism directly, on its health, on emotional and physical stability. As the laws that govern the physical universe have shown, man is not only made up of a physical body; it is a trilogy: body, mind and spirit. Thus, he is constantly exposed to the vibrations of his three natures: physical, psychic and spiritual. In short, everything that exists – even in its most minute forms – therefore, vibrates; has its own vibration, especially the human being, in whom its feelings, thoughts and emotions vibrate. The human being constantly emits waves… The trillions of cells that compose it also vibrate… They have the rare peculiarity of being sensitive, they are affected by their own vibration, by their intensity, whether they are high vibrations, love vibrations or lower vibrations, such as hatred. We will say that the human body perceives the impact of its thoughts, feelings and emotions… As well, you can perceive the feelings and thoughts that other people in our world and of the spiritual plane may be emitting out to you. It is a proven fact - without science having to prove it - that continued feelings of resentment, envy, hatred, jealousy –among others– destroy intimate harmony, generate an emotional imbalance that alters the mind, which induces depressive states that lead to the individual to aggressiveness and irritability; to states that alter your perception of reality, that prevent you from seeing things how they really are. This intimate disharmony keeps them in constant tension, in an irrational confrontation that ends up affecting the physical body… Finally, disease [or illness] may appear, a consequence of the general deterioration of the different organic systems, which succumb to these terrible vibrations. Therefore, the human being must be aware that these vibrations affect its body. Guilt feelings, dislikes, poor decisions, wrongful behaviors, ill will wishes or feelings towards other people affect them, and in what way! The organism itself, causing those negative feelings, return –boomerang- towards the starting point, towards its origin, that become a scourge for the conscience. And the conscience constantly warns about wrongful decisions, the path taken [on those decisions]. The human being is moved by desires, and these stimulate thoughts, emotions and feelings. The sum of all of them leads to action, to act in one sense or another. Unlike the animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms, which vibrate positively, according to their species, the human race has the capacity to discern, to understand; it has, in short, freewill. He has the freedom to act, to experiment, to generate good or evil, he has the ability to act on the environment by his will and by his understanding of the world around him. However, the law imposes its limitations, one will sow freely, although one will reap unfailingly. A popular saying goes: “What you sow, is what you will reap.” Through his actions, man imbues his thoughts, feelings and emotions with psychic energy. From a psychic charge that radiates directly onto its target, which reaches it. Hence the recommendation of a healthy mind, clean thoughts that help others and do no harm to others, and, avoid thoughts, feelings and emotions that hurt or disharmonize others. The human being must learn to control his actions, his feelings, his emotions, his words, his deeds. We should be careful not to hurt or harm those around us. Man is many times unable to control his thoughts, his actions, his feelings, as well as the vibration that they automatically generate. And, as stated in the law of cause and effect, the law of action and reaction or the law of karma, human beings are responsible for their actions, and the consequences. Hence exercise extreme caution when making decisions and emitting and sustaining lower-order thoughts and feelings that may cause harm, because they will return to us, the origin from which they started. Hence, so many cases of insanity and psychic and mental imbalances. But the law of vibration goes even further, it also encompasses the law of attraction and repulsion, by which like attracts the like. I want to draw attention to an everyday event barely perceived, although felt, the feeling of rejection, coldness or attraction towards certain people, when encountering them or meeting at any time or place. What can be the cause of such attraction or repulsion? It is simply the law of affinity in action, the equal attracting the equal, and the opposite rejecting the opposite. That law comes to shed light on such sensations, the causes of that attraction or rejection towards a certain person; it explains the dislike or liking of certain [persons in our] company. This fact takes on special relevance in relationships with the incarnated people in our circle, but also, and very especially, with the [spirit] entities that make up our spiritual sphere; spirits that we neither perceive nor see, but who are unfailingly there, by our side. And, the law acts the same on the incarnated and disincarnated. The human being, even if he wishes, is not isolated from the spiritual plane, he is only incapable of perceiving it. Those people [mediums] with the ability to see and feel are more aware… It is convenient to know that there is a huge number of rebellious beings on the spiritual plane, spirits contrary to evolution and the general good. Their sole objective is to harm, damage, hinder the work of those people engaged in spiritual work or who carry out humanitarian work, and service of fraternal support. They influence, and not in a good way! It must never be forgotten that the mind of the human being is constantly radiating and receiving thoughts, ideas, feelings and emotions; that the human being attracts or calls – through thoughts or emotions– beings that vibrate the same as it… In the same way that by sympathy or objectives, purposes and hobbies, the human being joins with others, sharing common feelings; the individual attracts those spirits that share similar feelings, be they compassionate, malicious or harmful. With good inclinations, will power and strong desires for learning and progress, the human being fights against its wrongful inclinations, and generates a specific vibration that protects it from evil influences. At the same time, it attracts higher beings who will help it make good decisions. Superior elder spirits will diseases or illnesses based on the Law of Vibrations, the Law of Cause and Effect, and of Reincarnation. When spirits fail, a simple reminder, a simple request will trigger you to receive that necessary help in difficult times. But, if this attunement is not sought, spirits of low condition will arrive; spirits of vibration similar to the negative thoughts and feelings generated by the individual in disharmony. If laziness, selfishness, dishonesty thrive, such defects will reinforce decisions; they will produce the means for these attitudes to triumph. And, if someone raises his voice for that wrongful performance, for that lack of responsibility, that mind will already be conditioned to repel any thoughts that seeks to correct or readjust it, and there will be rejection of the thoughtful guidance of the wiser spirits. Those superior spirits, those elevated ones, help humans to surpass themselves, to overcome the tests that come. They induce them to work, to seek greater and better life experiences; experiences that are unique opportunities for personal development. Meanwhile, the spirits that are negative, those who seek the regression of the human race, fight to stagnate the individual, to exploit its weaknesses, vices, and passions. Needless to say, they also seek to use their physical bodies to try to obtain satisfactions they can no longer reach, since they lack one. Those inferior spirits influence people, especially those with whom they share past debts, with those who continue to be bound by invisible ties, by the law of cause and effect. They obsess them, they subjugate them, they force them to perform follies, they even drive them to suicide. It is due to the law of affinity that attracts others, that magnetizes them; that unites those who share malicious ideas and thoughts. Meanwhile, love binds… with generous ties. For all these reasons, kind readers, I beg you to become aware of the seriousness of this problem. I ask you, kind readers, watch your thoughts and desires; those powerful forces that affect the human soul. I ask you to reject the unkind feelings of envy, grudges, bad opinions about those who you dislike. Apologize to anyone who offends or hurts you, who disrespects you. I ask you not to fan the flames of resentment. I ask you to apologize to your debtors, to your opponents, to your enemies. They ignore what they do; they ignore the damage they do to... themselves! They do it because of their own evolutionary backwardness, because of their ignorance regarding the mechanisms of higher spiritual laws. Forgive… always! If man could contemplate and knew the spirits he attracts when he thinks selfishly, when he allows himself to be carried away by greed, envy, hatred and the most wretched hostility, or, when comfort and ease impose their law, he would be amazed! He would even be scared! When contemplating those disfigured forms, condemned by their own vices ... he would change his attitude, he would stop his own actions. Let us be certain that at all times - if we are not vigilant - invisible enemies [spirits] accompany us, seeking to paralyze the efforts of progress, our desire to learn, to coexist. They will seek our lack of inner harmony, confrontation, useless discussions with those who share our ideals and objectives. Even with our family, they will try to break you from them. Every person dedicated to the common good, to spiritual knowledge, to the spreading of cosmic truths, all of them are their favorite target. Therefore, a lot of vigilance, a lot of observance of attitudes, thoughts and desires is necessary, for these are the portals through which they will enter wildly and eagerly, if we open the doors and let them. The authors are neuroscientist Melvin Morse, M.D. near-death experience researcher, Raymond Moody, M.D. also an NDE researcher who initially coined the term “near-death experience,” as well as a paranormal investigator, a forensic psychiatrist, a paranormal (mediumship) researcher and author, and also, an author and journalist on spirituality and the paranormal. This book cites the “revolutionary research work” and “scientific methodology with spiritual inquiry” Kardec used to compile The Spirits’ Book, and how it relates to the current experiment using 19 mediums selected to question spirits about the world’s problems and humanity’s future. Their spirit responses were compared to those received in Kardec’s book. Each spirit born into a particular family is the ideal place where the spirit (based on their actions or inactions from previous lives) is provided a greatly beneficial circumstance for its own personal spiritual growth. Once spirits have reached a certain level of moral and intellectual development, they know what spirits will become their parents, their children and relatives. The Divine laws are perfect, and therefore all suffering has its just cause and serves a sacred purpose. Specific spirits reincarnating together in the closest of relationships in a particular family have a just and good cause to be together and that is - PROGRESS. Each spirit has freewill, so hopefully, it will take full advantage of its unique situation, so as to reap maximum development. Soul evolution involves learning, and little by little, putting the virtues of charity and love more into practice. Most times, this involves trial and error, which results in life’s struggles. This process involves much expiation, making amends and various missions chosen by the spirit. Anything left unfinished or unaccomplished in a particular lifetime, will need to be attempted again in future lives. Parents/caretakers have the responsibility to love, nurture (in all aspects), and educate their children (or others in their care) to the best of their abilities. The children in turn, are to learn from them…to be kind, to be respectful of them and help them as they are able in their old age. Both children and caregivers have responsibilities. All are born together, to learn valuable lessons from each other; many times, very hurtful and painful. However, the Creator does not punish, for we are the architects of our own destiny. Our many past lives are full of violence and terrible decisions. The Divine laws are perfectly just and provide for each soul’s progression. In the continuation of this process of reincarnating into families, groups of spirits reincarnate as family groups. Groups of families are at different levels of moral growth and development. If a spirit advances more than the group as a whole, it may move into a more advanced group of souls, better to further its evolution. As we all reincarnate, it is the expansion and exercise of our mutual love for each other individually as a family unit and in family groups which will help us to develop, evolve, and expand our love (in all aspects) from specific individuals, to society and finally all of humanity. Love for single individuals or small groups are restrictive, selective and conditional; many times, possessive, sensual, superficial and material. This is a very important first step, but it is a limited imperfect love. Our goal - fostered by humility, forgiveness, compassion, self-sacrifice and charity - is to practice unconditional love towards all. Each should strive hard to fulfill their duties of practicing loving kindness as best they can, even if experiencing indifference, ungratefulness or hostility. Upon our return to the spirit world, we as spirits, will remember why we reincarnated with the family members we have. Remember, each spirit is responsible for its own conduct and of reaping the consequences of them. Each spirit progresses by freewill at its own pace on its path towards moral, intellectual and spiritual enlightenment. 3 Spiritist Society of Florida, September Newsletter 2024 MATERIAL LIFE – Why pick a hard life? Spirit communications; choice of earthly trials: “He [the spirit] chooses for himself the kind of trials which he will undergo, and it is in this freedom of choice that his freewill consists.” “A spirit knows that, in choosing such and such a road, he will have such and such a kind of struggle to undergo; he knows, therefore, the nature of the vicissitudes which he will encounter, but he does not know whether these will present themselves under one form or under another. This is lack of faith. Perhaps one of the most difficult aspects when evaluating our behavior is determining exactly whether we are justifying some of our actions. We find excuses for any of our actions, and not only do we settle for that, but the more mistakes we make, the more blind we can become to ourselves and the more demanding we are regarding the mistakes of others. The above is the most evident symptom that we can observe when we suffer from this ignorance of our inner selves… It is not easy to view ourselves as we are, but we can begin to be honest and see what intentions move us in each of our actions, instead of going through life without even thinking about what we do and why we act that way. Pride is a powerful enemy that plays tricks on us, especially when others warn us about incorrect behavior because, at that moment, the self-defense mechanism that we usually use is to flatly reject their advice, get angry, accuse them of acting badly on many occasions, etc., anything but stopping to evaluate whether what they tell us may be true. Let us be vigilant…we are not exempt from making mistakes. And as we are sure that, at a greater or lesser level, we make them, it is more logical that due to our spiritual knowledge [as Spiritists] let us be the first to make amends… We can never justify erroneous actions by arguing that it was necessary to act that way. Gandhi said, “The purity of the means must be equal to the purity of the ends.” We can never excuse deception, lying, falsehood, slander, theft... even if we think that this is how we are going to achieve our objectives, no matter how good they may be. Not knowing our moral limitations means that we let ourselves be carried away by them without even realizing the situation… it is necessary that we resort to the assessment of any situation based on ethical and moral principles that we can defend… Recognizing an error is already an important step in our evolutionary process, although it is even more important to rectify it in time, and work to correct the damage caused. Let us keep in mind that many of our actions can cause incredible harm to other people and if instead of recognizing our mistake, if we continue to act in the same way, our actions can reach such limits of negativity that it will cause serious harm to others. We must have courage and recognize our errors, because the more we postpone this unavoidable daily work we should all do, the greater the personal difficulties we will encounter in life and the colder our relationships with those around us will become. AUGUST NEWSLETTER 2024 THE DIFFICULT CONQUEST OF PEACE Written by Milton R. Medran Moreira It is one thing to live through a conflict, and quite another to see it from the outside. There are the most intimate conflicts: those we fight with ourselves or those we mumble to others. There are also external conflicts: those we face with our relatives, between parents and children, between siblings, between bosses and subordinates, between co-workers. Finally, there are international conflicts: those that arise from political differences, religious disputes, the desire for supremacy over territories or peoples. The first two give rise to our small daily battles. The last cause the eternal wars: the same ones that everyone claims not to want, but that no one is able to avoid. Once a war is unleashed, the entire world mobilizes in favor of peace. However, the peace that is signed in international agreements is always precarious. It requires vigilance. The effects are often controlled, but the causes are not addressed. Needless to say, we all want peace. Who likes the horrors of war? However, the construction of peace is a delicate process. It depends on the cultivation of values, which do not prosper where there is pride, selfishness, envy, profit and all the lower feelings, still embedded in the human soul. Among many of the current conflicts fueled by racial and religious hatred, or supported by economic interests…which cause humanitarian crises… with no sign of an end on the horizon … and so, we ask ourselves once again: Why are we incapable of avoiding wars, when we all claim to long for peace? Whenever these conflicts are rekindled or aggravated, international organizations are mobilized to mediate …Not always, if not almost never, such movements achieve their objectives. They fail to find, their root and deepest motivations, the causes that actually lead to war. In The Spirits' Book, a work dedicated in every way to the essence of peace, question 743 states: “Will war ever disappear from the Earth?” And, the spirits replied: “Yes, when men understand justice and practice the law of God. Then, all peoples will be brothers.” This means that, in order to achieve lasting peace without the ghost of war continuing to threaten humanity, two premises must be taken into account: the full understanding and assimilation of the law of justice of the Divine emanation of the Supreme Intelligence, and, the consequent experience of the feeling of fraternity. A feeling allied to reason, on the one hand, and effective fraternity, on the other… Only wisdom and fraternal love, intertwined, make possible the end of expressions of barbarism and primitivism such as wars. Limoges) 2 Spiritist Society of Florida, August Newsletter 2024 OUR WORLD – TESTS & ATONEMENTS “It is only through the plurality of existences and the destiny of the planet as a world of atonement, which it now is, that we can explain the abnormalities in the distribution of happiness or unhappiness amongst good and bad alike. “Nevertheless, these abnormalities exist only in appearance, due to the fact that they are considered solely from the point of view of the present. “If we elevate ourselves, by means of thought, in such a way as to see a succession of existences, we will perceive that to each one is given what is deserved, after taking into consideration that which was gained in the spiritual world. “Only then does it become apparent that God's justice is uninterrupted. Man must never forget that he finds himself in an inferior world to which he is confined, due exclusively to his imperfections. “Each time he suffers a vicissitude he must remember that if he belonged to a more advanced world these things would not happen, and that it depends on himself alone to see that he never returns to this world, by working harder to improve himself… “It is not to be thought, however, that all suffering in this world denotes the existence of a determined shortcoming. Many times, it is simply an ordeal requested by the Spirit, which will help it towards purification and active progress. So, atonement is always a test, but a test is not always an atonement. In Ch. 7 of Kardec’s Heaven and Hell book the superior spirits teach: “The Justice of God being infinite, an exact account is kept for each soul, of the good and the wrongdoings done by it in the course of its earthly life…” Regarding the good we do: “…no good deed, however minute, no right feeling, however fugitive, no virtuous aspiration, however faint, is ever overlooked, or even remains sterile, even in the case of the most depraved; for those seemingly slight stirrings of the soul, in the direction of truth and goodness, are the commencement of its reformation and progress.” *** The Divine Justice provides we reap the merits of our good thoughts and conduct. The benefits to our soul are very real. Even small gestures or acts of goodness fosters compassion within us, enrichening our souls which help us morally progress, and can make an impact more than we realize on other peoples’ lives. Being a good person with struggle and difficult circumstances, gain us even greater merit. We are all spirits in evolution. It is interacting with each other (most times in painful and hurtful situations) still doing the right thing, is when much moral and spiritual progress is made. Life is a school. We come to learn many lessons so our soul can develop and grow in spiritual purity. 3 Spiritist Society of Florida, August Newsletter 2024 MAKING DECISIONS IN LIFE & FEAR Written by Gloria Quel Many people see the future with a certain caution and try to make the best decisions in the present so that the future is as they have planned. However, on repeated occasions this fear becomes excessive, causing the sufferer to feel deep anxiety and with multiple effects in the various areas of their life. Life is constant change and making decisions is necessary, and we do not always make the right ones; sometimes they are appropriate, however, other times they do not give the desired result. No matter how much we reflect, think or evaluate the situations, there is always a percentage of discomfort that we may have to tolerate; but if we avoid making decisions, we will not advance and we will remain stagnant in life. There are those people with little tolerance for uncertainty, who find it very difficult to accept a disappointment, no matter how small; and, there are those who need the approval of others to feel sure that the decision they may take is a right one. Sometimes, this fear of the future develops within people because they have learned it within the family environment. Perhaps because a relative has had a drastic or unexpected change in fortune or health, which has shattered their emotional serenity, such as the loss of a job, an illness, the loss of a loved one or any other type of unexpected change that completely shatters the settled life they have built little by little. These experiences, instead of helping them to make intelligent decisions, it reinforces their focus on fear of uncertainty; without stopping to realize each case is unique. It does not have to repeat itself in one’s life if the right measures are taken when thinking about the different options that life offers, such as: taking up studies, choosing a job, buying a house, having a partner, getting married, getting pregnant, etc. No decisions made, due to uncertainty, can lead to a dull life and close many doors. Inaction seems more comfortable. This can cause a blockage in the person's life, avoiding valuable opportunities for personal growth and fulfillment. It is also confused with false prudence, to justify oneself and to avoid realizations, often convenient and necessary. The result of such inaction can cause existential emptiness. Fear paralyzes, and can eliminate enthusiasm in life. In general, making decisions and possible mistakes, is better than not making any decisions and doing nothing, since this is how we learn in life. In addition, not making decisions can have negative consequences, for then others, whether directly or indirectly, will make them for us, then we lose control of our lives. Therefore, fear can come upon us because of our insecurity, because of the doubts that arise in us before the future full of obstacles and tests that we may have to undergo throughout life. It is essential that each of us knows how to steer our ship in the turbulent sea of ​​life, ever towards happiness. We are immortal spirits who need to live material experiences to continue evolving. If we are aware that this progress is very slow, we also understand that the issues we have not resolved or the traumas we brought from previous lives, will need a solution sooner or later… Fear is one of the worst enemies of the being because it anchors itself inside the soul, assaulting its deepest forces. Let us stop feeling trapped by the fear caused by the uncertainty in our lives, which damages our thoughts and emotions. Work daily to accept them or put a stop to them, and let us take control of our lives and feel free again. Let us not have regrets or bypass missed opportunities for possible happiness. For some, the lack of faith in God is because of the belief our future expires with death. However, it is this faith in God that gives us security, that comforts us, and the knowledge that we will always have spiritual guides at our side who will assist us, especially if we ask them for help from the heart. They are the ones who inspire us, support us and strengthen us in the face of life's uncertainties, misfortunes and sufferings. Let us trust, with intelligent effort, strong faith and moral courage. Life is full of wise lessons that help us grow and mature towards infinity. Many times, having strong, spiritual faith and working hard towards something for the greater good can have a major positive impact. JULY NEWSLETTER 2024 A message to Spiritists: WHO IS A SPIRITIST? Spirit communication received by Yvonne Crespo Limoges A person may be a “Spiritist” without even knowing it. If they believe in the immortality of the soul; its need for myriad existences within material worlds; the intelligence that one must practice love and goodness; and, through these, they believe the soul evolves in its highest and most pure form. These are the basic tenets of what the Spiritist Doctrine teaches. Look beyond names and labels. Look at the essence of things! Search for the common ideas that will eventually bind all of humanity within ONE Universal Belief that is supported with facts because they are laws of nature. Science and religion and philosophy will be one! However, since the world is full of diverse peoples, each with their own cultures and backgrounds, there will be different terminologies, different methods, different practices, but all backed and supported by a base which is strong and true because it comes from the Creator. What will matter are the basic tenets and sincere intent! Look for similarities amongst those who have the basics of the knowledge of reincarnation; we in the spirit world encourage tolerance, compassion, and forming alliances, all working towards a common goal which is the moral and spiritual transformation of the people of the earth. Practice inclusion, not exclusion. These will save humanity! The spirit world in unity, directs its thoughts, energies and impressions to all humanity in a way so as they can assimilate them. The Creator sends the message of LOVE to all. We instruct humanity in order for it to progress. All we ask is for your sincere and compassionate efforts in helping us by instructing those around you regarding the realities of life; to answer their questions regarding personal struggles, perceived inequalities and what appear to be random catastrophes. There is so much fear in the world; fear of life and death. Blind faith is now not enough for mankind to support the trials of material life! The time has come for the expansion of the knowledge you call “Spiritism” that explains natural spiritual realities and the laws of the Creator. 2 Spiritist Society of Florida, July Newsletter 2024 DEATH – A NATURAL TRANSITION Written by José Manuel Meseguer The phenomenon of death is something that will invariably overtake us all one day, since it is something natural, it should not evoke negative or gloomy thoughts, although this depends largely on each person's preconceptions and beliefs. Much has been written and debated about it and it is something that inspires a lot of respect and fear… Could it be human beings, in its evolutionary progress have turned it into an unnatural process? It is obvious that the instinct of preservation imposes on us a wise and natural way to protect ourselves from death. Under normal conditions, no one wants to die; however, this should not prevent us from reflecting on it. In that sense, traditional religions have not helped much, offering a rather illusory, vague and very unclear image of death [heaven, hell, purgatory]; and, instead of preparing the groundwork to face this inevitable fact well, on the contrary, it fills many believers with doubts and enormous uncertainty. Nor has science throughout history had the facility to investigate death, independently or objectively. Under very strong religious and social pressure, it was forced to ignore it for centuries; except for some brave researchers [thank goodness even nowadays], but for most of them [scientists], death is our end. Human beings should not focus exclusively on issues that concern physical and material life. We are always very busy; our minds are filled with thoughts regarding the issues of the day; it is what we have been trained to automatically do on a daily basis. However, it has not always been this way. If we review history, we can easily see how the higher spirits, aware of the needs of a spiritually immature humanity, transferred to its emissaries, the great prophets, the need to dedicate time, during the week to rest (from harsh daily tasks) to dedicate time to contemplation of the Creator and to spiritual life… This is what practically all religions [Western and Eastern] have done since time immemorial, creating time and spaces for religious/spiritual gatherings, offerings, prayers, meditations, songs, etc. Times have changed, and in what was another era considered sufficient to fulfill the spiritual aspirations of the being is no longer sufficient for the majority. Yet, science and technology have made our lives easier and we have free time like never before. However, we hardly dedicate time to cultivating our spiritual interior, especially to becoming aware of the temporary nature of our physical existence. So, once and awhile, take some time to contemplate on death. Instead of diminishing us, it should enhance the present, our desire to live fully, and grow morally. The Spiritist viewpoint [based on spirit teachings] offers tranquility, peace and security about the future that awaits us all. It teaches from a logical and rational point of view that death is not the end of life, only the biological phenomenon stops, the spirit continues uninterruptedly. The more one understands this, our anguish decreases, replacing fragility caused by uncertainty, with security that awaits without fear, attaining serenity, with hope. Indeed, death completes the physical cycle: the body is born, develops and dies, in an irreversible process no matter how much we want to ignore it. It is part of the transience of physical life, and this occurs when least expected. Prepare yourself every day, as if it were your last day on Earth. Eventually…the day will come when death will be observed as the end of a profitable journey and to begin a new one, full of peace and joy. We are travelers with a path laid out, with a journey through the different learning stations, in the direction of perfection, to final happiness. A meditative practice of tranquil listening allows for better perspectives. In silence, wisdom may arise from your own now clearer thoughts, or your spirit guide, or even other helping spirits.  Regardless of their origin, elevated thoughts can arise, and better decision making can result. Further, the practice of meditation can strengthen inner peace and spiritual alliance.  IS LIFE PASSING BY TOO FAST? Inspirationally received by Yvonne Crespo Limoges Daily work and chores, appointments, meetings, and on and on; it seems like one day blends into another. Yet, did we get anything productive accomplished? Were they priorities? The SMART PHONE; scrolling and scrolling, one to three hours later, we ask ourselves, “where did all the time go?!?” If we are always in a rush, busy ALL the time, can we truly make prudent, caring and conscientious decisions, especially ones that may have a great impact on our lives? How can we direct ourselves to what is most important if we are reacting to life instead of taking purposeful and thoughtful actions? It is very difficult! So, we must take control of our lives and our time, and not let circumstances completely dictate what and where we go and do. We are the only ones who can STOP ourselves; to silence our minds, take a break from the rushing around and “noise” of our hectic material lives. Whether it be through meditation (in its various practices), just sitting silently, taking a leisurely walk in nature, listening to soothing or cheerful music, being in thoughtful prayer, resting your mind and body in perfect silence, or similar activities... all have known health benefits; and they help relax the body and nourish the soul. As spirits, a quiet rest of the mind and body opens up the soul to beneficial thoughts, intuitions and inspirations that help us during the struggles of life. Your efforts will be worth it! Limoges Sometimes what we want in life, even when we strive for it (no matter positive thinking or our efforts) it does not come to pass. Unfulfilled expectations! Yet, it is because we CHOSE our path, for prior to reincarnating we decided what we truly needed for our soul to progress in this particular lifetime. We realized upon reviewing our past lives (while in the spirit world), that different experiences (the good and the difficult) expand our knowledge, and our ability to have love and compassion, which enriches our soul. However, positive thoughts and efforts of goodness do not go unrewarded. Good spirits assist us in our trials and tribulations by providing beneficial spiritual sustenance for us to better able support what we have to go through in life. We are never alone in suffering.    Don’t be discouraged; there is a just cause for the circumstances of your life. Those who understand this and believe it, find strong faith and great solace. 4 Spiritist Society of Florida, July Newsletter 2024 THE SPIRITS TELL US WHY Written by Yvonne Crespo Limoges So many people in life feel they have many burdens, in one way or another, and wonder why they have them. Many have very heavy loads. With life’s struggles, many become resentful of their own personal afflictions, or the frustration in dealing with children or young adults, or the burdens of caring for disabled or elderly relatives and/or friends. We must always remember WE CHOSE to reincarnate into this world knowing ahead of time what our own personal struggles would be, and, who we would be with, certainly family members and close friends, because it was best for our spirits to be together to work out our moral progress. In order to do so, much atonement and making of amends are needed to and from each one. At spirit communications sessions, the spirits come to tell us they suffered much in our world, but reveal they deserved it because they had caused much harm to others. Each spirit comes with their own story of pain and anguish. Some come with great remorse. What type of amends they were to make are reflected in the types of suffering and struggles they went through, in helping those whom they had harmed greatly in past lifetimes, and sometimes it is reflected in the manner in which they died. So, those who feel love and responsibility but yet feel burdened by another, possibly in another lifetime harm or neglect was involved, but amends were promised. Even more difficult are those where one is dealing with ungratefulness. Yet alas, amends must eventually be made all the same; whether in this life or another. However, the spirits who fulfilled their promises tell us what a relief they feel to have a clear conscience by having paid their debts, it now opens up for them a much happier future and better spiritual horizons. Past life wrongful acts affect the present one; we are working out the effects of our indiscretions. Let’s try to live better lives now, for a happier future. MAY NEWSLETTER 2024 THE CREATOR The Supreme Intelligence, the Creator is First Cause of all things; for something cannot have come from nothing. The Creator is not completely knowable by us at our current level of spiritual, moral, and intellectual development. Spirit communications throughout the centuries have provided some attributes of what we can understand: The Creator’s Supreme Will is All Powerful and Supremely Justly and Good. The Creator is Eternal, Unique, and Totally Perfect. The Creator Knows All things: past, present, and future, and from the smallest to the greatest of things. The Creator’s works can be seen in the harmonious order, complexity, sublimity and beauty of Creation. The Power and Wisdom of the Creator is manifested in Creation and in the Universal Laws that govern LIFE (material, moral, spiritual). In addition, the Supreme Intelligence continues to exert influence upon all planes of existence. It would be illogical to assume that the Creator would cease to be active. The Creator created the spirit world, the material world, and the universal fluid (this last permeates and acts as an intermediary between the two worlds). The Creator created spirits (souls) - the intelligent principles of the Cosmos: They were created in a state of simplicity and ignorance, and with freewill so as to receive the merit of their own deeds. They were given a mission, with a view to enlighten themselves and gradually arrive at relative perfection by gaining knowledge of truth that would bring them closer to knowing the Creator. This relative perfection is a condition of eternal happiness for them. All spirits eventually come to this state. THE CREATOR IS LOVE The Omnipotent Creator provides Unconditional Love, Beneficence, and Solicitude towards us, that can be seen and expressed, through and from, the morally superior spirit messengers who are sent to assist, protect, inspire, and communicate with us to further our spiritual and moral progression and evolution. They base this upon the fact that we can create. Some say that we co-create with God. However, the Creator, First Cause, eternal and total perfection, created the Cosmos which includes us. We, all humans (spirits) are imperfect. How can anyone compare themselves as being equal or co-equal?   Surely all people hold the spark of love within their hearts and have an idea of right from wrong. Yes, we have free will to create, but we prove our imperfection through the many acts of moral mistakes. Limoges Your scientists have shown you pictures from their telescopes that give a very small glimpse into the immensity that is the universe, for it goes on and on… Think of a barrier, and what would be behind it? Yes, your actions/non-actions in the present affect your future life and lives. However, do not become despondent that this life is so full of sorrow and pain, or you have not fulfilled an intimate ambition, or that your situation is tragic or sad. You already have had many times fame and power; been wealthy and destitute; different genders, and of different social classes; and, had many occupations, etc. You have experienced much!! Only a portion of who YOU are is revealed in this life; what you needed and what you chose. For there is knowledge you have, now withheld from you in this material life (so you may learn and develop in other areas). When you return to the spirit world, all in good time, your spirit retrieves its memory full of past lives, experiences and knowledge from ages past! Therefore, put your life’s woes and material pleasures into perspective. Try to be tranquil, a good person and learn your life lessons. Use what resources you have to better yourself and to help others, as you are able. When one knows the soul lives an eternity, one can try to be more at ease in the present life. Not only can we be influenced by what reaches us through the material senses, but we are also exposed to the influences of the spiritual plane. Because? Very simply, human beings share space with all those beings that vibrate in the same condition as us. We are not alone; we are surrounded by countless aspects that, although we do not see them, we can be influenced without even realizing it. Just as we are creators and transmitters of thoughts and feelings, which become actions, we are also receivers of thoughts and feelings that can be similarly transmuted into actions. This does not mean that we are puppets for those beings who are no longer here, who have already left for the spiritual world; but it does mean that we can attract by affinity all those who have not yet found their place, who feel attracted to a large extent by the material plane and do not want to march towards the spiritual plane that corresponds to them by evolution, to continue progressing. This is where the amount of control and degree of spiritual balance that we have achieved plays a fundamental part. The spirits, once free of their material envelope, remain the same as they were on earth… The spirits that have acquired a degree of evolution immediately understand the purpose of coming to earth, and once their earthly existence is completed, they acknowledge when they have to leave the terrestrial sphere, to go to their new spiritual home… Each one, according to his or her merits and the degree of perfection acquired, goes to one plane or another, to which it corresponds. But those who are highly materialized, full of selfishness and other moral imperfections, remain drawn to the earth, to the places where they feel more or less comfortable due to their material tastes and appetites, vices and social tendencies. Apart from this, they look for "like-minded" people whom they can easily dominate, to use them by their influence, through their feelings and thoughts. Those who are smokers will look for those who like that habit, because in part they find a minimum of satisfaction in what smokers emanate. This is the case with those who like alcohol, or any other vice or habit. The point is not to feel alone, to seek out those who are incarnated, to continue clinging to the material plane and continue their vices and material passions. Likewise, there are those who look for any way to harm all those with whom they do not sympathize, and what is worse, they seek to quench their thirst for hatred and revenge with those who they consider have caused them some harm, of any kind, or who they believe that harmed them in their life on earth, or towards those they have felt envious of, or those they consider their enemies, etc. The fact is, all these very slightly evolved spirits [ignorant] in the moral aspect, have not acquired the capacity to understand and forgive, so take justice into their own hands… To understand this type of situation and relationship that can be established between incarnated [humans] and [spirits] disincarnated, we must know that there is a universal law - the law of vibration, or law of affinity or attraction, which is what governs all these phenomena that we are experiencing; it has logic and wisdom, like everything created by God. We cannot escape this law, neither the incarnated nor the disincarnated. Just as on earth we associate and meet with others with the same preferences and hobbies, the same thing happens in space [spirit world], each one is in the place that corresponds to their degree of evolution… This is due in many cases to the great difficulty many people have, who have fallen into some vices and earthly passions, and to be able to free themselves and rehabilitate themselves, since they have to fight on the one hand against that weakness and illness that they have contracted, and at the same time, with those hidden enemies [spirits] that with all their strength stimulate with their mental power to not give up said habits, preventing any reasoning and the listening to the good advice that is received from family, friends and even the doctors themselves… In some [very serious and stubborn] cases, well- coordinated spiritual work for an obsession may be necessary, carried out by those groups [best done with mediums trained in this work] that have the necessary preparation and strength. 4 Spiritist Society of Florida, May Newsletter 2024 Being free consists of breaking many chains. We cannot be free if we are tied to countless vices, passions, bad habits and moral imperfections, starting with selfishness and materialism… [including such feelings of continuing negativity, apathy, resentment, jealousy, envy, hostility, etc., etc.] Precisely, many people who lack self-control and an awareness of the repercussions of their actions, take advantage of the right to freedom to do what they want, whenever they want, as they say…without realizing that they are NOT free at all, but slaves to themselves and prisoners of their own consciousness and irresponsibility. [they will eventually suffer the consequences of their behavior] That is why we have to pay close attention, be alert to the thoughts and feelings that we harbor inside us, and those that we in turn receive. We are like antennas, emitting and receiving, and unfortunately, the spirits that are in our common space, many that are intelligent, play with the advantage that we do not see them, and if we are weak and do not have firm intentions of wanting progress, and work towards our moral improvement, we can be easy prey for them. On the other hand, if we know how to reject them [by generating good thoughts and good moral conduct], and using our willpower, they will eventually get tired and look for others with whom they are more "in tune" with. When we allow spirits of a lower level to exploit our defects, we abandon ourselves, we forget the life plan with which we have come to earth with. We waste opportunities as important as being able to set our own goals and have countless positive experiences. Let's attract the help of morally higher spirits, so that they inspire us, strengthen us and infect us with their desire to love and to progress. We have two options, which one do we choose? MARCH NEWSLETTER 2024 JESUS’ INFLUENCE ON EARTH Written by Yvonne Crespo Limoges This Easter we remember the poor humble Jew who owned nothing but the clothes he wore, who wrote nothing we know of, who taught about the Creator, the afterlife and the eternal life of the spirit…starting with just a few devotees. Although he taught to have charity and love for everyone, he was sadly perceived a threat and ordered killed in his 30s. Over 2,000 years later, about 2.2 billion people around the world consider themselves his followers, and Christianity is currently the largest religion on the planet. 1 Jesus is mentioned in the holy texts of all three major religions. Even many Hindus consider him an Avatar, 2 and Gandhi said Jesus was one of mankind’s greatest spiritual teachers. 3 In addition, the Dalai Lama from a Buddhist perspective acknowledges the profundity of Jesus’ teachings in his book, The Good Heart. And, Christianity is growing in numbers in Africa and Asia. Jesus’ moral teachings continue to have an important influence around the world. IS JESUS RELEVANT TO SPIRITISTS? The answer is an emphatic, YES! Famous medium/healer Miguel Vives from Spain (known in his day as the “Apostle of Goodness”) clearly stated in his book, A Practical Guide for the Spiritist: “To attain the level of morality that every Spiritist needs in order to fulfill his mission as properly as possible, and to have peace somewhat while on earth, and to attain some happiness in the spirit world, he should fulfill the Divine Law. Where is the Law? It is in the Gospel as proclaimed by Jesus… Therefore, every Spiritist should know by memory, if possible, this moral teaching because how can one apply the law, if one does not know it? “It was not in vain that the Creator sent us the greatest spirit that has yet to set foot on this earth… and the spirit communications from superior spirits [even up to the present day], pointed out Jesus as our model and guide. That is why every Spiritist should…study His behavior through His sacrifices…His wisdom. “We should, above all, study the purpose of His elevated mission because within this issue, there are two essential points of foremost importance… to comprehend the Divine Law to fulfill it… [and] …another lesson of vital importance…the consolation, resignation, and patience that His sacrifice can inspire within us.” Jesus, was a morally superior spirit who willingly incarnated on a backward world, on a Divine spiritual mission he knew would entail suffering and daily sacrifices, eventually leading to horrific violent death. But he came out of love. He came to teach humankind to love unconditionally and to show it in his actions. Jesus is our supreme example of the level our spirit will evolve to eventually, after a myriad of lifetimes. Progress and soul evolution are Divine laws, to continue progressing by merit is our soul’s destiny! Jesus, by virtue of the high elevation of his morally and spiritually superior incarnated spirit with a perispirit of powerful beneficially pure fluidic energies, allowed him to naturally have superior psychic abilities but always within natural laws. By virtue of this superiority, he could consistently know/do things by the power of his own spirit. Things his contemporaries and us cannot do. His exceptional psychic abilities are illustrated in many situations in the New Testament of the Bible; the only place written about him. If we take what was written at face value and examine these through a Spiritist lens, what seems to be paranormal events surrounding him and acts of spiritual/psychic abilities, we find that it is by his own power as a naturally superior spirit. Thus, we find he: - Had full knowledge of his mission on earth, and all the sacrifices and suffering involved (Bible sections examples: Mark 1:15, Matthew 5:17, Luke 4:18-19, Mark 10:45, etc.) - Had foreknowledge; where the fishes were for Simon (Peter) in the water (Luke 5:4-11); he predicted the events involving his life; who would betray him, his early death and his spiritual return. - Knew the thoughts of others; there are quite a few passages that state, “Jesus knowing their thoughts” without no one contradicting him. - Resurrections: of those several Jesus “resurrected,” considered near death, or considered “dead,” Jesus could sense if a body was genuinely dead and whether it could be revived via magnetism and vital spiritual energies. Ex. appearance of death - catalepsy. - Could heal; he could sense those he could cure physically and spiritually (magnetism) in accordance with Divine laws; he could direct by thought perispiritual fluids; they have a direct influence on incarnated beings, physically and spiritually. - Could remove obsessing spirits; he recognized inferior spirits and with the purity of his spirit he commanded supreme power over them. - Ability to change his appearance; this incident of the transfiguration; Jesus took three disciples to a mountain to pray. A cloud appeared (vision?), they watched Jesus transform to a figure dressed in white, radiant light about him. In addition, apparitions of Elijah and Moses appear beside him. - Could easily communicate with spirits; incidents of expelling obsessive spirits and talking to them without a known medium present. - Had a powerful personal magnetism which could have a powerful sway over the people; it could have come into play during the story of the “fishes and loaves” among the multitude. And, still are for many. However, sufficient scientific investigations of mediums, spirit communications and paranormal phenomena has been done by many prominent and reputable researchers for years. For a modern-day compilation of the best informative material, I highly recommend Michael E. Tymn, a reputable and highly regarded historian of centuries of paranormal/mediumship research in his excellent books available on www.amazon.com. While average persons are psychic/mediums to a certain extent, there are some people that are much more so than others, however, none of their abilities can be commanded in a constant, consistent manner to the extraordinary extent that Jesus could himself, especially for goodness. In conclusion, Jesus was in control of his abilities, and what he had, was from him. These resulted naturally because of his highly evolved superior soul. Jesus also said, “…he that believe in me, the works that I do shall he do…” (John 14:12-18) Because, it is our spiritual destiny to follow him in all ways! However, the Creator's spiritual laws of: attraction, eternal life, and freedom enable spirit entities to interact with and to influence human beings. Any discarnate whom you associated with, whether from a past life or from this current one can find and gravitate to you through the essence or composure of your soul. Spirit(s) draw close to a place, a person, or a group of people, or even a thing to satisfy its fancy or its agenda. Their motivation and intent vary according to each spirit's good or wrongful disposition and intent. Yet, regardless of external circumstances of good or wrongful influence, every human being is responsible and will be held accountable for any action taken. Within this lifetime or the next, an appropriate consequence will result. We cannot change our past behavior or forecast another being's influential action. Limoges If we want a calm and peaceful ambiance around us (our family, friends, co-workers, strangers and other groups, etc.), we must put forth our own effort to create and maintain one around ourselves. Being pleasant, agreeable, positive-minded (being grateful for what IS GOOD in our life) no matter our life’s struggles… a positive attitude radiates good spiritual vibrations. This attitude more easily attracts the good spirits who second our efforts providing beneficial influences, not only to us (which can ease some sufferings or make it easier to bear them) but for those around us as well. A person undergoing suffering with an agreeable disposition, acts as an example of resignation to others. This can help to inspire and uplift others who may be suffering in silence. In interacting with others, it is greatly beneficial to try and be tolerant, sympathetic and sensitive in all manner of dealing. Keep in mind, much is said and done by people without purposeful ill intent, or without them really thinking, or out of habit or ignorance. Remember, each person is at a different level of morality and intellect. Be attentive to their ways, emotional condition and state of mind. Then be kind, patient and indulgent. People come from different personal experiences, many from places of hurt and suffering of various types. We do not know each person’s struggles. These may lash out in anger or have an unpleasant manner because they feel all they have known in life is pain. However, if we are able to help them, it is our moral duty to do so if we are able. You may inspire in them the hope they need that there is actual kindness in the world; while you learn patience, tolerance and humility. This will lead them on a pathway to eventually learn calmful resignation. But he came out of love. He came to teach humankind to love unconditionally and to show it in his actions. Jesus is our supreme example of the level our spirit will evolve to eventually, after a myriad of lifetimes. Jesus, by virtue of the high elevation of his morally and spiritually superior incarnated spirit with a perispirit of powerful beneficially pure fluidic energies, allowed him to naturally have superior psychic abilities but always within natural laws. By virtue of this superiority, he could consistently know/do things by the power of his own spirit. Things his contemporaries and us cannot do. His exceptional psychic abilities are illustrated in many situations in the New Testament of the Bible; the only place written about him. If we take what was written at face value and examine these through a Spiritist lens, what seems to be paranormal events surrounding him and acts of spiritual/psychic abilities, we find that it is by his own power as a naturally superior spirit. Thus, we find he: - Had full knowledge of his mission on earth, and all the sacrifices and suffering involved (Bible sections examples: Mark 1:15, Matthew 5:17, Luke 4:18-19, Mark 10:45, etc.) - Had foreknowledge; where the fishes were for Simon (Peter) in the water (Luke 5:4-11); he predicted the events involving his life; who would betray him, his early death and his spiritual return. - Knew the thoughts of others; there are quite a few passages that state, “Jesus knowing their thoughts” without no one contradicting him. - Resurrections: of those several Jesus “resurrected,” considered near death, or considered “dead,” Jesus could sense if a body was genuinely dead and whether it could be revived via magnetism and vital spiritual energies. Ex. appearance of death - catalepsy. - Could heal; he could sense those he could cure physically and spiritually (magnetism) in accordance with Divine laws; he could direct by thought perispiritual fluids; they have a direct influence on incarnated beings, physically and spiritually. - Could remove obsessing spirits; he recognized inferior spirits and with the purity of his spirit he commanded supreme power over them. - Ability to change his appearance; this incident of the transfiguration; Jesus took three disciples to a mountain to pray. A cloud appeared (vision?), they watched Jesus transform to a figure dressed in white, radiant light about him. In addition, apparitions of Elijah and Moses appear beside him. - Could easily communicate with spirits; incidents of expelling obsessive spirits and talking to them without a known medium present. - Had a powerful personal magnetism which could have a powerful sway over the people; it could have come into play during the story of the “fishes and loaves” among the multitude. We know the power of hypnosis and persons with great magnetism can cause fascination and have great sway over people. - Paranormal phenomena occurred around him; the cloud and apparitions during the transfiguration (Mark 9:2-8); the calming of the seas (Mark 4:35-41); levitation or “walking on the sea” see (John 6:15-21) 5 Also, in other Gospels. - Materialization. As a superior spirit, he could at his will, easily do this with control to show his apostles he survived physical death, to allay their fears, to say he would watch over them, to give his last instructions and inspire them so they could spread God’s teachings. And, still are for many. However, sufficient scientific investigations of mediums, spirit communications and paranormal phenomena has been done by many prominent and reputable researchers for years. For a modern-day compilation of the best informative material, I highly recommend Michael E. While average persons are psychic/mediums to a certain extent, there are some people that are much more so than others, however, none of their abilities can be commanded in a constant, consistent manner to the extraordinary extent that Jesus could himself, especially for goodness. In conclusion, Jesus was in control of his abilities, and what he had, was from him. These resulted naturally because of his highly evolved superior soul. However, the Creator's spiritual laws of: attraction, eternal life, and freedom enable spirit entities to interact with and to influence human beings. Any discarnate whom you associated with, whether from a past life or from this current one can find and gravitate to you through the essence or composure of your soul. Spirit(s) draw close to a place, a person, or a group of people, or even a thing to satisfy its fancy or its agenda. Their motivation and intent vary according to each spirit's good or wrongful disposition and intent. Limoges If we want a calm and peaceful ambiance around us (our family, friends, co-workers, strangers and other groups, etc.), we must put forth our own effort to create and maintain one around ourselves. Being pleasant, agreeable, positive-minded (being grateful for what IS GOOD in our life) no matter our life’s struggles… a positive attitude radiates good spiritual vibrations. This attitude more easily attracts the good spirits who second our efforts providing beneficial influences, not only to us (which can ease some sufferings or make it easier to bear them) but for those around us as well. A person undergoing suffering with an agreeable disposition, acts as an example of resignation to others. This can help to inspire and uplift others who may be suffering in silence. In interacting with others, it is greatly beneficial to try and be tolerant, sympathetic and sensitive in all manner of dealing. Keep in mind, much is said and done by people without purposeful ill intent, or without them really thinking, or out of habit or ignorance. Remember, each person is at a different level of morality and intellect. Be attentive to their ways, emotional condition and state of mind. Then be kind, patient and indulgent. People come from different personal experiences, many from places of hurt and suffering of various types. We do not know each person’s struggles. These may lash out in anger or have an unpleasant manner because they feel all they have known in life is pain. However, if we are able to help them, it is our moral duty to do so if we are able. You may inspire in them the hope they need that there is actual kindness in the world; while you learn patience, tolerance and humility. This will lead them on a pathway to eventually learn calmful resignation.
