WE ARE GOD’S CHILDREN

Jesus said, “Love others as yourself…,”so with
this he also meant we should love ourselves, too.
And, in so doing this, it does not mean in an
egotistic, narcissistic or vain way.
You may say that “love” is a strong word which
you may feel uncomfortable with. Yet, we are
children of the Creator and we are loved! If we
are loved by God, why should we not love who
we are?
We can love ourselves as a child of God. If we do
not love ourselves, how can we truly care about
ourselves and how we live our lives? How can we
really care about our mind, body and soul?
We cannot let insecurities, guilt or our own
imperfections keep us from the love we have for
ourselves so we can care enough to live life the
best way we know how; to be good and do good.
Also, if we want to make good changes, we need
to do it for ourselves first; because sometimes,
making changes solely for someone else, those
changes may not fully or truly take hold within us.
We have to mean it for us.
Yes, we have made mistakes in the past, the
present and we will in the future. Sometimes
terrible ones! If we learn from them so much the

better. We have to remember what Jesus said, “Go
and sin no more.” Trying our best going forward
is all we can do!
At times, Spiritists feel quite a bit of guilt
listening to the teachings of the spirits on self-
improvement and personal responsibility as we
review our past or current behavior, actions and
attitudes.
Also, in learning about the laws of cause and
effect as well as finding out about our past lives,
many times places a great moral weight upon us,
instead of impetus for good change. But, lift your
heavy hearts and be kinder to yourselves!
We can strive for some moral improvement in life
without being weighed down so badly that we feel
completely overwhelmed. The past cannot be
changed and self-knowledge/self-awareness can
be a real wake-up call, but remember no one is
perfect on your world. Everyone is at their own
level of development, all on their own path in life.
Knowledge of the past can teach us some of what,
why and how we are now. Knowledge of moral
and spiritual laws provides great guidance to use
in our present life…so we can provide ourselves
with a better future.
My dears, carry love for yourselves! We are
Divine creations of the Supreme Being, in a state
of constant change, forever improving and always
heading to that most Perfect Light and Divine
Love. Forever forward!

Facebook and Prayer – Facebook (with over one
billion users) has a prayer request tool started in
December 2020. Members of Groups can ask their
members to pray for them for all manner of
things. Privacy and security could be a concern as
people share details about their personal lives, but
here is another spiritual alternate for people not
attached to any religious/spiritual institution.
Exorcisms on the rise?!? – In Washington, D.C.
a psychologist and research associate professor at
Catholic University of America, Monsignor
Rossetti a Catholic priest of the diocese says
“exorcisms have ‘grown exponentially’ in the past
decade or so. He says the U.S. is ‘wracked by
discord and a moral crisis, is demonically
oppressed.’” 1 In the state of Indiana, Rev. Vince
Lampert a priest and exorcist for the Roman
Catholic Archdiocese, says “he has seen a higher
rate of exorcism calls amid the isolation brought
on by the pandemic.” 2
In Portland, Oregon, Archbishop Alexander
Sample “led a procession of more than 200 people
to a city park on Oct. 17, offered a prayer, then
conducted a Latin exorcism rite intended to purge
the community of evil.” Meanwhile, in San
Francisco, California, Archbishop Salvatore
Cordileone performed an exorcism outside a
Catholic church” where there had been protests.
Religion Professor Andrew Chesnut of Virginia
Commonwealth University said “exorcism, in its
traditional form as a demon-chaser, is increasingly
widespread around the world, though there are no
official statistics.” 3 (Note: Whether positive or
negative vibrations, like attracts like; the spirit world is
affected by what we do in the material world and vice versa.

TV Show about Haunted Houses – I just binge-
watched a show on the SciFi Channel (last show
was this past Friday) called SurrealEstate. It’s
about The Roman Agency real estate company
specializing in selling properties known in the
business as “stigmatized” or what they call
“metaphysically engaged” or in other words
haunted. These can be difficult to sell by their
owners so they specialize in helping for profit.
For a house notorious for paranormal disturbances
or “ghosts,” at least in New York, a buyer
apparently must disclose it because it could impair
the house’s value, per an actual court case
Stambovsky (plaintiff) vs. Ackley, 1991 NY
Appellate Division; apparently selling it “as is”
only covers physical defects, not “ghosts.”
In the show, Luke Roman and his team have
specialties that aid them to try to determine what’s
going on paranormally/spiritually with each
property. In general, properties have spirits with
unfinished business or spirits attached due to
harmful or violence act(s) that may have occurred
there. Most of the house histories and spirit back
stories were interesting, I liked the style of the
show and the characters. It’s a fun watch.

Kardec’s The Mediums Book - Haunted Places
No. 132, item 9 - Spirits state: “We have told you
that there are spirits who are attracted by material
things; such spirits may also be attracted to certain
places, and may even take up their abode in them,
until the cessation of the circumstances that have
attracted them thither.”
- What are the circumstances that may attract
spirits to a given place? “Their sympathy with
persons who frequent that place, and, in some
cases, the desire to communicate with them. Their
motives, however, are not always so praiseworthy
inferior spirits may desire to revenge themselves
on persons against whom they have a grudge…”
(Note: Generally, prayer and the practice of goodness

ANGELS AND DEMONS

Angels and Demons do not truly exist, they were
terms made from a lack of understanding about
the laws of the universe and the spirit world.
 
There are spirits of such high levels of spirituality,
morality, and love that they can seem to have
what we consider “angelic” qualities, especially in
a place that sees little good or peace; but they are
only spirits that have gone through countless lives
learning, progressing and perfecting their faults
and short-comings. It is through understanding,
patience, selflessness, forgiveness and love they
have reached the angel-like level of superior
spirits.
 
Then there are those spirits that like to or want to
make trouble and/or hurt others because they have
been wronged before they passed, they are
ignorant and do not know any better and then
there are those who take joy in harming others, all
of which have seemingly “demonic” qualities.
These are morally backward spirits in the spirit
world. Some become bored and run around being
mischievous or practicing evil. Others look for the
person that harmed them when they were alive
and try to harm them from the spirit world [in
some cases of obsession, etc.], as much as they
are allowed, for nothing happens without the will
of God.
However, we must remember that whatever action
we do to someone else be it bad, indifferent or
good…we reap the consequences of them in this
life or the next. Even our actions as spirits, but no
one suffers any more than what they have reaped,
or have asked to go through in order to reach a
higher level of moral purity in different areas.
 
There is another reason these terms were created
as well, blame and/or an explanation of why
things happen, for those that did not understand
the true reasons. It was, and still is for some, far

easier for people to blame mistakes, bad behavior
and/or horrific actions on demons and devils then
it was to say they did it.
When good things out of the blue or seemingly
miraculous events occurred and people didn't
know why or how (in a place where wrongful
actions were commonplace and accepted as the
normal way of life) events were attributed to the
action by angels to explain how or why.
 
The law of cause and effect is the reason
everything happens. Morally wrongful actions
cause negative effects, just as good ones cause
good effects. Spirits influence events, people or
things.
 
Be it angels or demons being claimed, they are
only spirits.

Through the centuries, when people initially
encountered spirit phenomena, they gave
religious, supernatural and fantastical names to
them depending on their particular culture.
Our English word demon is derived from the
Greek word daimon meaning deity or genius and
had a neutral meaning. The word angel derives
from the Greek word angelos meaning messenger.
As for the spirits, they will take whatever name
people find understandable and that will impress.
The most important thing for spirits is the effect
they want to create upon us for their own
purposes, whether for good or ill.
The Creator, Perfect Justice and all Love, would
not have created separate beings eternally damned
to evil AND not have played favorites by creating
separate beings which have not earned their
blessed state by their own efforts. The Divine Law
provides ALL spirits progress by their own merit,
to evolve, ever perfecting themselves.

UNFORGETTABLE MEMORIES

There are moments in life that we cherish forever.
During our lifetimes, we always share a special
moment or an event that takes place in which
many will always enjoy or remember, yet we will
sometimes take for granted.
If we hold onto these precious moments that we
cherish, they will never leave us for years to
come. Loving and caring moments are the most
special.
For those struggling with trials and tribulations,
never forget that there will always be special good
moments that can change our lives forever.
Kindness, care, and love always endure no matter
what challenges come at us.
May God bless all of us with care and guidance
that many of us need in what we are facing right
now.
(Note: The remembrance of precious moments of
joy we have had in our lives can bring a smile to
our face and uplift our hearts, especially during
trying times. – Y.L.)

PRAYER FOR THE STRUGGLES OF LIFE
God, Our Father, help us to be patient and have
willpower to sustain ourselves in adversity.
Strengthen our weaknesses, comfort our doubts
and distress.
May our spirit guides be close and comfort us.
May we be resigned and have faith in the Divine
Laws which are perfect and for our own good.

COMPASSION
Spirit communication received

We feel great compassion.
We are saddened by what we see. There are so
many complications upon Earth where there need
not be any. Much hardship is caused by greed.
People forget their purpose and the meaning of
love; the purpose of life itself.
Love simplifies everything. There is clarity and
greater simplicity within a loving heart. That is
where happiness exists. But too many people
follow the frivolous distractions and enticements
of the material world to the point of imbalance
and instability. We, in the spirit world, can see
this more clearly.
We see the forgetfulness of one and another in
selfish pursuits. And, we see the anguish that
brings.
Collectively, we send love and support to our
dearest relations with prayers that deeper love is
embodied. We also pray that love grows upon the
earth and spreads to enable eventual world peace.
All must exercise compassion and try harder to
love one and another.
