JUNE NEWSLETTER 2023 CREATE HARMONY  By Julie L. Harper Contemplate God's creations and recognize that all natural beings exist within a spiritually co- joined connection. When you move your thoughts away from the material world toward the Creator's life force you may realize that every life is supported by unfailing spiritual laws. Your faith in the Creator's impeccable sacred design eases suffering through the calm that trust instills. The sense of harmony that can follow makes life easier. Earthly life allows for growth through inevitable difficulties, but calm and even joy is always available. Take time to cherish past and present moments with your loved ones. In reflection, you can feel love shared now held as treasures of your heart. It is within many spiritual possessions where your greatest joy exists. Spiritual blessings are ever- lasting and they may be appreciated in any given moment for upliftment. Many family members and dear friends exist in the spirit world from past and present lives. We can find delight from knowing that we are still spiritually connected through shared love, and that loved ones are unburdened from earthly hardship. Hold loving thoughts of them to allow their harmonious state of being free from worry about loved ones left behind. Because energy has no bounds, emotion naturally extends to others whether within family, community, or those in the spirit world. You can be a much-needed steward of harmony for yourself, your loved ones and life at large simply through intent and peace-filled action. Each person can help to make the world a better place. May we all strive to harvest harmony among one and another. A LOVING SOUL TRANSITIONS Written by Yvonne Crespo Limoges I am grateful in this life to be aware of the spirit teachings of soul evolution. It affords hope. My younger sister’s body succumbed to cancer this month, but what comfort my belief system brings me knowing her spirit and love still exist, that she may see me (and maybe as a medium, I may eventually see her) and that we can reunite in the spirit world when it is my time to return. She possessed the same spiritual knowledge which provided her strong faith and helped sustain her. She suffered much in this lifetime. I believe she supported it well, causing it to be one of much moral advancement for her. May the good spirits watch over her and may God bless her! JOY COMES FROM WITHIN 2 Spiritist Society of Florida, June Newsletter 2023 By Written by Fermín Hernández Hernández I say that without joy in a person, the rest of the values that he possesses are as if they were missing something. Joy is like that pinch of salt that should not be missing from all good food. If in our personality we make an effort to develop a good base of human values, which help us develop and impel us towards our noblest feelings and desires, we must not forget at any time to season all of them with a spirited touch of joy, making the path of life easier for us. Indeed, the path of life is easier if we live it with joy, with an intense desire to live, with an intense desire to take advantage of each moment, each experience that our destiny gradually offers us. Everything in Creation is a chain of events that continues indefinitely and gives the human race the opportunity to regenerate, to learn, to discover new things every day, plus the solutions to our problems… Only wrongfulness temporarily breaks down that chain of life and joy that Nature grants to the human being for well-being, maintenance, advancement and progress. It is only man, with his folly, due to his ignorance or malice, who breaks the natural balance and brings misfortune to himself. And, that is why man himself has the solution and the power to put an end to sadness, to suffering... Joy invites joy, and sadness attracts only sadness, this is part of a law. It is for this reason that we have to learn to live with inner peace, striving to overcome moments of difficulty without losing our calm, with the strength of our will, to be able to see later into the future with satisfaction and joy, the fruits of our work. Joy is not synonymous with irresponsibility … Because when I say joy, I am talking about a healthy, cheerful joy that comes from the depths of our soul, and is the reward for the successes in life’s works, which our spirit knows how to recognize, calming and strengthening our consciousness. That is why joy comes from within, we must not look for it outside of ourselves, it is not found anywhere, as Rabindranath Tagore [Nobel Prize winner in literature] expressed it well, “You look for joy around you and the world, don't you know that it is only born in the depths of the heart?” A good part of the natural joy of youth is lost that we bring from our earliest childhood, which later many can never find again. Why? Because many seek happiness only in material things and forget the true meaning of joy, which is a natural feeling of our spirit, which emanates from good intentions, noble ideals, good deeds, etc. That is why people with a healthy, strong and noble spirit find joy in the simplest things, live life with order, earn the respect of their friends and family and also know how to distribute the benefit of joy generously… Moral defects and human weaknesses are a great impediment for our hearts to feel the joy of living, and to help us to share our happiness with others (good feelings we often carry, hidden deep inside us and don't let out). Let's make an effort to fulfill the objectives that as spirits we have brought to Earth, and we will see how our life is transformed into positive impulses and into hope. We will see how a force comes from within that leads us to put aside monotony, sadness and loneliness. We will feel that life is full of contentment and goals within our reach. Limoges) OPENING ONE’S EYES 3 Spiritist Society of Florida, June Newsletter 2023 Written by Antonio Lledo In the multiple lives that a spirit has to undergo, it begins to glimpse a little spiritual clarity, the consciousness of one’s Being expands with all kinds of experiences…positive, negative, traumatic, painful, enriching, noble, elevated, etc. It is undoubtedly a process taking many millenniums since the soul when it incarnates, loses awareness its past, while here only intuition, inspiration or presentiments consciously warn it of its past lives and its immortal reality… Our spiritual awakening can take place in many ways; sometimes it is through pain that leads us to reflect on those perspectives that we never would have made because we were living a pleasant life with multiple comforts. This is the blessed importance of human suffering; it is like a knock, a warning, the bell that rings, to serve as an incentive to understand other truths separate from material matters. When we “wake up” due to something painful or hurtful, it is necessary to resolve doubts regarding the sense of its justice or injustice. Otherwise, we run the risk of falling into rebellion, self-denial or disappointment; or fostering a resentful, angry, dissatisfied character with everything that surrounds us, even those who love us and wish for our well-being. It is therefore very important that if our awakening occurs as a consequence of moral or physical suffering, we quickly try to understand the causes …for this, there is nothing better than studying the laws that govern the evolutionary process of the human soul, where one of its first premises is to understand the Divine Justice. When we are convinced of this reality, we no longer look for blame for our pain; we fully comprehend that the causes that have produced it are within ourselves; generated in the current life or from past lives …the reality that through our own suffering…. and its therapeutic effect, it allows us to see a new reality… There are also people whose conscience awakens by observing other’s suffering… Buddha …attained higher enlightenment through the effect that suffering had on others…the awakening of human consciousness is possible in understanding the reality of life through others… The other example which our soul can awaken from millennia of ignorance and make it embrace the profound truths of life…is the discovery of LOVE…when the soul discovers an authentic, true LOVE, a cleansing occurs within it, an authentic inner revelation, which makes it wake up to a reality hidden from its senses, that is fundamental and pervades the universe... That Universal Love that emanates from the Creator permeates all of creation (although we are unable to glimpse it at our soul’s early stages) and causes the awakening of our consciousness ever towards love, allows us to better understand everything that is eternal and makes sense. That is why the greatest example of love, JESUS, came … to help us discover within our hearts the spiritual blindness of a sleeping conscience, and to awaken our spirits to the authentic life of the immortal soul. Thus, through PAIN or through LOVE, that is how progress is made in the world we find ourselves in, reincarnating over and over again. These are the only methods to awaken our conscience towards goodness…that allows us to achieve inner peace and the fulfillment of our spiritual duties, life after life. Limoges) A SPIRIT COMMUNICATION 4 Spiritist Society of Florida, June Newsletter 2023 Spirit Protection - When God sends us to Earth, to incarnate on the material plane, we have many times a difficult path to travel. However, God always extends us much assistance, providing infinite provision so that we can be attended to in all our necessities, so we can find indispensable support on our way, to induce us towards goodness, to strengthen us and defend us from the attacks of any malevolence, while also protecting us from our own weaknesses which habitually occur in our moments of uncertainty. God sends us, like a father sends his child, to a distant land where we can study, perfect ourselves, acquire great valor, and so that we can find where we can be relatively content and useful to others. Along our life’s path, we all have an immense rear guard of self-sacrificing spirits consecrated to prepare us for each day we live incarnated on this planet. They prepare us before we wake up, they accompany us after we rise, enveloping us in their affection so as to inspire in us good feelings from early in the morning, so our day will be of benefit to us. They suggest to our minds noble tasks that we can confront, and give us courage to face the difficulties we may come upon. These kinds of spirits embrace us affectionately and try to direct us all they can, with the energy that one can need to conquer the majority of the difficulties of life. No sooner that we find ourselves at our place of work [or other duties] we are surrounded by other spirit messengers specializing in the tasks we need to discharge, inspiring us, in making preparations, solutions and advising us in many ways, for the advantage of the common good. Our spirit friends surround us so we can take full advantage of our rest times. They help separate from us the impure thoughts, so that we cannot be contaminated by the nearness of inferior spirits. They inspire in us hope and love to support the rest of the day. During the evening, we receive the indispensable help to help us eat and repose in tranquility, again protected from inferior spirits so that we can fortify and rest our material bodies. And, as we approach night, our spirit protectors prepare us for our duties in the spirit world. [like those spirits and/or persons we may wish to visit for various important purposes as a spirit]. They also envelope us, help us and spiritually cleanse our spirit, suggesting thoughts and sentiments of love, tranquility, hope and charity. They prepare our minds and spirits to respond the best possible way, to the upcoming events of the next day. May we be as receptive as possible. And, if we are mediums, our spirit guide prepares our mediumship, our particular mediumship faculties, in order to help us be more receptive to the beneficial fluids/energies which provide the medium serenity, and to assist in our abilities in reception of the spirit communications they receive when they attend the Spiritist centers.
